Ask some ss to explain the Chinese meaning of the sentences. Help them if necessary. b. Choose c. Discuss and give the answers. Step I Lead-in 1. Have the students show their abilities of reciting the dialogue. 2.Q: How to ask for and identify the information concerning training course? (I will check the students and improve the students’ confidence of English study.) Step II Reading& Speaking Activity8: Act and practice. Ask the ss in pair to do exercise 8 on page 37, there are 3 topics , they could choose one they like to have a practice and then act out in front of the class. Example: A: I’m calling to ask if you offer …. B: Yes. We have courses on …. A: What I want to learn is …. B: Yes. The teaching materials we use are …. A: Are there any part-time course? B: …. Activity 9.Discuss and answer. Discuss and answer two questions on the page 38. Let ss check the answers and choose the best one. Activity 10.Read and choose. a. New Words Study. Show the students some pictures and have them learn some new words . hospitality, training center, advanced, improve, technology, skill, detail, password, security… Individual work: read and analyze and choose suitable course for the people. Ask some ss to write their answers on the blackboard and check the answers together. (This activity can help the students prepare themselves for the reading task.) 5
