四级中占分最重的是听力和阅读，各是248.5分。
首先是听力。前面8个小题是短对话，一般可以直接从原文中得到答案，就是说听什么选什么。后面长对话，也是一样。不过，有些选项会有同义词替换。就是同一个意思，不同的单词来表示。最后一道听力题目是最难的，要求听写单词和句子，听写句子能写下主谓宾就能得一半的分。方法：不看听力原文做一遍，做完后就把听力原文中不认识的单词挑出来，并记下来。最后把听力原文读几遍。
然后是阅读。阅读包括快速阅读，选词填空，阅读理解。其中阅读理解占分比较重。快速阅读策略：首先看文章的标题（有些文章有小标题也要看）。然后看题目，看题目的时候要抓关键词，比如题干中的 时间、人名、地点、还有是选正确的还是错误的等。根据关键词到文中去找答案。大多数而言，出题都是有按顺序的。时间控制在15分钟内完成。因为快速阅读和作文是一起考的，你要留30分钟写作文。快速阅读也很好做，原文中直接有答案，最好拿分。选词填空：1、 把那些单词的词性写在一旁。2、再通读全文，根据语法，判断缺少的应该填什么词性，名词、形容词、代词，在这过程中把最简单的，一眼就能做出来的填了。3、再结合词性和词的意思填进相应的位置。阅读理解，没什么好讲的，每个人都有自己的方法。就我自己而言，我喜欢用排除法。
还有写作和综合。写作的话背一些经典的范文，这几年的趋势是写议论文。综合包括翻译和完形填空。这都是都是靠积累基础知识。翻译的话有几个经常考的知识点：倒装句，强调句，虚拟语气，还有一些固定搭配。
大概的讲就是这些。其余的靠你自己去多做，遇到不认识的单词记下来。我没有专门去记过四级词汇书，就记那些真题中不认识的单词.下面是一些听力的资料，可以供你记一下。
