Last Saturday，my friend and I climbed the West Mountain, during which I harvested an unforgettable memory from an accident.
We set out early in the morning. And all three of us were in quite good mood due to the beautiful scenery. With steep rocks, we climbed very carefully. Needless to say, we were very excited when we finally made it to the top of the mountain. Big smile on our faces, we took a photo together to cherish this moment. After having lunch and some rest, we decided to head back. It was more difficult to go downhill than to climb up. So I went in front of us and gave a hand to my friends when needed. All of a sudden, just when I was about to make a move, I lost balance and fell down, with an ankle hurt. Sitting there without knowing what to do, I was very upset. Just then, I saw a hand of my friend, helping me to get up. The moment I got up, my bag was taken away by one friend and I was pulled on the back of the other. They decided to carry me all the way back with no hesitation. Deeply moved by their action, the only thing I could do was to thank them for their kindness. It took us a long time to get downhill, but the moment that they helped me out turned this “disaster” into an unforgettable experience. It was painful when I fell to the ground, but my friends’ actions truly lit me up. “A friend in need is a friend indeed”.
With such friendship I have, I believe I can overcome any difficulties I may meet in my life. 高道一
Last Saturday, I went to climb the West Hill with my friends, Li Ming and Yan. It was not only a trip full of fun but also an unforgettable day which recorded our friendship. Early in the morning, we arrived at the foot of the hill, carrying heavy backpacks. It was not until the sun shone all over the hill that we reached the top of it, for it was pretty steep. Admiring the amazing scenery from the top, we felt tired but most refreshed. After taking a photo holding one another in our arms, we started to go down the hill. The road down was even tougher, so we were always looking out for one another. Careful though we were, I fell over when I was about to
step off a high stair. My legs bleeding, Ming offered to
carry me on his back while Yan dealt with wound quickly and carried all the bags. While I felt guilty for the trouble I caused, it was my friends’ warm hearts and our sincere friendship that impressed me most. We eventually finished our trip
safely when the sun was going down the mountain.
Having thanked them, I thought our friendship would be even stronger.
As the saying goes, you can never recognize a true friend until you are in the adversity. Fortunately, I have two of them. Even though the bright sunshine that day won’t be captured any more, our friendship will just be like the sun, always 孔煜也
letting out new sunlight every day and making me warm.
