We learn a second language mainly by reading and reciting. It is a good way to recite everything you learned. But I think it is also important for us to understand the meaning of each sentence and know how to use them in our daily life. If you just repeat sentences automatically like a phonograph, there may come some problems. Here is a short story about it.
