A Sexless Scene
Interviewer 1: So, you’ve been very self-effacing, very truthful about a lot of things that it’s actually kind of fun to be super famous, so tell us the truth about love scenes.
Daniel: It’s weird, ’cause whenever you watch those scenes in films, that you always think ―my god, that must be so sexy to do that‖ and just, ―ohh, wouldn’t that be
amazing, those actors, how are they controlling themselves?‖ But actually, it’s not in the least bit exciting when you’re doing it because, when you’ve got, like, 20, 30 crew watching you. It’s just, there’s nothing sexy about it at all really. Interviewer 1:Ohh, so sorry …
Daniel: I’m sorry, sorry to disillusion you. Interviewer 1: … for you. (Laughing) Daniel: Yes, absolutely.
Interviewer 1: So that’s gotta be a bit of a down side.
Daniel: No, no, it wasn’t a down side. It was great fun. We were having a laugh, but it wasn’t sexy, you know. It was still a lot of fun because it was like, it was just hilarious because I was really nervous and awkward.
A Creative Question
Interviewer 2: OK, one last thing: Nick Fish from Warrington says, ―Who’d win in a fight –Gandolf, from The Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter?‖
Daniel: Now I think that’s a sort of unfair question because if I was going to pit Gandolf against somebody, it will [would] be Dumbledore. And I will pit myself against … Harry against Frodo. And I think: Harry versus Frodo, I’d have him. Interviewer 2: Definitely! Daniel: But, but, …
Interviewer 2: If you want a message to ….
Daniel: … to Elijah, I’ve met Elijah and actually he is a lovely, lovely man, so I’m not going to try and start a fight with him. Interviewer 2: But you could definitely have him.
Daniel: I could have you, Elijah. (laughs) And, but I think – Gandolf; Harry? I would have to say I think Gandolf would probably edge it, but it would be close. Interviewer 2: It would be a tough call.
Daniel:Mmm. Dumbledore would beat Gandolf though. Interviewer 2: Could be the fight of the century.
Daniel: It could be. We could try and stage it, shouldn’t we? Get McKellen and Gambon together and get them with boxing gloves on and get them to try and smack each other about a bit.
Interviewer 2: That could be good fun. Daniel: That’d be hilarious! Interviewer 2: Heard it here first. Daniel: Yeah!
Interviewer 2:Dan, thanks so much … Daniel: Not at all.

丹尼尔：挺怪的，因为每当你在电影中看到那些场景时，你总是会想 ―噢，天啊，那样做肯定非常性感‖，还有就是―噢，那简直太不可思议了，那些演员，他们怎么控制自己的？‖但实际上当你自己那样做的时候却一点都不觉得兴奋，因为你周围大概有二、三十个工作人员在看着你，真的一点都不性感。 主持人甲：噢，很抱歉……
