Others, however, prefer to live separately. They cherish the idea to be independent of their parents, seek more freedom and wish to have a place of their own, in which they can do what they like. Bedsides , they don‘t want to be overprotected by their parents but long for chance to face the society by themselves.
As to me, I like an independent life style in spite of the fact I love my parents. Different generations have different life styles and values. What one generations likes may not be another generation‘s fondness. Living separately, each generation can enjoy different values. Now more and more sons and daughters from one-child families are attending universities. They distinguish themselves as a new social group. This new generation have obvious advantages since they are brought up in favorable family circumstances. But there also exist some weaknesses in the way they think, behave, in their sentiments and in their characters.
Though most of these college students are intelligent and fond of study, some are comparatively less capable of handling their social and living affairs. When they meet something unexpected, they don‘t know how to solve it. Some, even phone home to ask what to do each time they run into any problem. They feel weak at knowing how to conduct themselves in college for this is the first time for them to live independently.

Active classes or passive classes
The passive class usually has a teacher who gives lectures, puts outlines and gives information to the students. Some teachers rarely look up from their notebook in which they carefully written all the lectures. Teachers in passive classes simply give information and answers. They pour facts into the students. The students are usually forced to sit, listen, take notes, and do only what the teacher has required.
The other kid of class, the active kind, usually has a teacher who gets the students motivated to learn for themselves by asking questions and posing problems. Such a teacher might plan the outline of a course, but doesn‘t force the class in only one direction. Students in active classes become more involved in their learning. The cooperative learning stimulates students to read books to search for some answers themselves and the discuss what they have found in class.
I prefer active classes because learning becomes entertaining. Although students may not much care about facts in classes, their attitude toward learning and their excitement in developing answers for themselves don‘t end with the classes.

Continuing one‘s education in a foreign country away from home may create hardships and also bring many rewards to one and one‘s family.
Homesickness is the first thing one comes across. A strange land, people and language may create an identity crisis strong enough to break one‘s will and throw one into despair. The only way out would be to seek one‘s friends and relations, and this is often impossible. To cover one‘s expense, one‘s family may have to spend all their savings and even more. And therefore they should do something in return to meet their parents‘ expectation. This weighs heavily on one‘s mind and will be a stimulus for one‘s success.
There are many rewards one expects from one‘s education away from home. First, a broadened way of thinking and an efficient way of working mean much more than a mere diploma and will benefit one throughout life. Second, the exposure to another culture will enable one to view everything from a different angle and distinguish advantages from disadvantages both in one‘s own culture and new culture.
