形容词和副词的最高级的变化规则及其用法。
1）三者或三者以上相比，表示最高程度时，用―the ＋最高级‖的结构表示。这种句式一般有表示比较范围的介词短语。
eg. She is the tallest of all her classmates.
2）最高级可被序数词及much, by far, nearly, almost, by no means, not quite, not really等修饰。 eg. This hat is by far the biggest.
3）表示最高程度的形容词，如：excellent, extreme, perfect等，没有最高级，也不能用比较级。 eg. He is an excellent teacher.
4）形容词最高级修饰作表语或介词短语宾语的名词，代词时，被修饰的词往往省略。 eg. He is the youngest boy in his class. 4）表示比较范围的介词of或in短语。 of＋表示一群人或事物的代词或名词 eg. Tom is the youngest of all. in＋表示某一单位或场所的名词 eg. John is the fattest in his class.
