Quality Management (QM)
Explain the structure of the QM curriculum. The LO170 gives an overview of the general processes in QM using examples from the logistics supply chain. In the LO705, the master data for quality inspections is covered in detail. No complete processes from the logistics supply chain are covered in this course. The courses LO715, LO720, LO721, and LO725 cover the processes in
detail. The LO710 covers the use of quality notifications for problems within the process chain and internal problems. The QM training curriculum is completed by the LO750, which deals with user exists, interfaces, and customer enhancements. At this point, it should be mentioned that basic knowledge of ABAP is required for the LO750. The emphasis in the LO750 is not on Customizing.

Course Content
The course structure is described here. Unit 2 serves to introduce or reinforce the inspection process. Unit 3 deals with master data relevant to QM. This master data is then used in unit 4 to introduce inspection planning. This unit covers the structure and creation of inspection plans. Units 3 and 4 are detailed and form the basis for the other units in the course. Inspection lots are manually created during these units and then used for results recording (unit 5) and defects recording (unit 6). Inspection completion with the usage decision is described in unit 7 and the various evaluation options are covered in unit 8. In addition to the standard evaluations using the QM Information System, the SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW) is also described.

Environment
Position of QM
QM is integrated in the logistics processes. The inspection lot as the central object in QM is created in general during a business transaction, for example, when a goods receipt is posted or a production order is released. The
necessary settings are made both in QM and in the other logistics applications in the SAP solution.
Elements of QM Application
The individual capabilities and their tasks are summarized.
The hypertexts in Customizing give an overview of the individual QM capabilities. The key tasks, necessary settings, and interfaces are explained here.
Demonstration of the Elements of QM
The capabilities of QM should be shown in the system. It is sufficient to show the basic structure of the individual areas. Do not go into too much detail at this point. The LO705 deals mainly with the capabilities \ \

Putting the Unit in Context
This unit serves as an introduction to the general inspection process in QM and as a summary or revision unit for inspection processes. The key meaning of the inspection lot data record should also be taught to the participants. You can switch to the relevant documents and master data at any time from the inspection lot data record.

QM Inspection Process
A specific event generally starts the QM inspection process. The inspection lot can be automatically created from the process or manually created.
Sample determination is a required step in the rest of the inspection process. Sample determination defines which quantity is required from a population for inspection. The simplest case of inspection processing is defects
recording. This means that if no defects are determined in a sample quantity, the inspection can be completed with the usage decision. As a result, results and defects recording are required for inspection completion. After the usage decision is made, the data is updated for statistics and evaluations can be made.
