Topic: Production Resources/Tools
50 minutes
Putting the Unit in Context
The test equipment that is required for performing a quality inspection can be planned in advance in inspection planning. These are assigned in the inspection plan as production resources/tools.
To complete inspection planning, an overview of the use of PRTs during a calibration inspection is also given.
? Test equipment types and use
Inspection Planning: Production Resources/Tools Test Equipment Types in the R/3 System
Assignment of Production Resources/Tools
Only one production resource/tool can be assigned to the inspection characteristic. If, for example, an equipment and a document are to be assigned to an inspection characteristic, the document assignment can be performed using the inspection method and then the equipment can be assigned as a production resource/tool.

Only an overview should be given of a calibration inspection. Calibration inspections are dealt with in greater depth in the courses LO720 and LO721.

Create an operation in the inspection plan. Use work center QMWE1-00. Assign the equipment \
operation. Explain the details for the assignment, select the PRT type using the pushbutton.
Create inspection characteristics for the operation; use the master data from unit 3.
Exercise: Inspection Plan
Topic: Inspection Characteristics in the Inspection Plan
30 minutes
Putting the Topic in Context
Apart from using master inspection characteristics, inspection characteristics can also be created in the inspection plan. These inspection characteristics are assigned to the inspection plan and cannot be used more than once. Further properties of inspection characteristics are also covered, for example, calculated characteristics within an operation or conditional characteristics in an operation.

Use of Master Inspection Characteristics
The short text and the long text can be created in different languages. The language in which a master inspection characteristic is displayed in the task list depends on the type of inclusion used (referenced or copied). The short text and long text are only shown in the same language with which the user logged on when dealing with referenced master inspection characteristics (provided that the texts for the master inspection characteristic exist in the log-on language of the user).

Catalogs in the Inspection Plan
On the characteristic overview screen, additional master data (inspection methods, selected set from catalog type) can be assigned to the copied inspection characteristic or the characteristic created in the inspection plan. This assignment can be performed on the corresponding detail views.

Create a new operation in the existing inspection plan (Task list group: Group00, group counter 1). The data from the next exercise can be used.
Create an inspection characteristic in the new operation. Show the assignment of the inspection method on the characteristic overview screen; assign
catalogs to the inspection characteristic, for example, a code group from the defect catalog.
Topic: Dynamic Modification
30 minutes
Putting the Topic in Context
In addition to dynamic modification at inspection type level, dynamic modification can be used at different levels if inspection plans are used. In this case, dynamic modification can occur at the level of the lot, characteristic, or inspection type. The quality level is updated depending on the dynamic modification level and criteria.

Enter the dynamic modification level (dynamic modification at lot level) and dynamic modification rule (B00) in the existing plan (task list group: Group00, group counter 1) in the task list header.
The settings for dynamic modification criteria are proposed from the task list usage and if necessary, can still be changed.
Exercise: Inspection Characteristics in the Inspection Plan
15 minutes
When discussing the exercise, you should again mention the importance of quantitative or qualitative data for the inspection characteristic in the inspection plan. This data applies in general to the task list in the task list group. If materials are later assigned to a task list, some quantitative or qualitative data (dependent characteristic specifications) can be assigned to these materials.
Topic: Administration
50 minutes
Putting the Topic in Context
Now that we are familiar with the general structure of the inspection plan, this unit covers the most efficient options for inspection planning. This includes reducing the number of inspection plans by assigning several materials to an inspection plan and using reference operation sets in inspection planning. To complete the topic, the product structure is dealt with.

Dependent Characteristic Specifications in the Inspection Plan
You can also define manufacturer-dependent inspection specifications in the task lists. The manufacturer is stored in the system using a \the customer with a particular account group. This customer (vendor) is then entered in the material/task list assignment and dependent characteristic specifications can be defined for the characteristic.

Reference Operation Set
The reference operation set cannot be referenced in a master recipe (PP-PI). In a reference operation set, it is possible to create a reference to another reference operation set.
