This activity provides writing practice using the target language

1. Read the instructions .Ask Ss to look back at activity 2a and 2b to get ideas for the letter . 2. Ask Ss to complete the letter on their own . 3. Ask some students to read their completed letters to the class . SB Page 38 , 3c .

This activity provides further writing practice using the target language

1. Ask two different students to read the two sets of sentences in the examples . 2. Have Ss write about their own plans . 3. Ask several students to read their sentences to the class . Step 4 Post-task SB Page 38 , Part 4.

This activity provides reading and writing practice using the target language

1. Read the instructions and then have a student read the example . 2. Ask the whole class to practice doing the exercise together . 3. Ask Ss to work in groups of four or five .Then let several groups to say their stories to the class .

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Greet the class as usual and check the homework. Step 2 Self Check 1

This activity focuses on vocabulary introduced in the unit. Say, First check the words and phrases you know. Then write five new words or phrases in your Vocab-builder.

Get students to make their own sentences with the words, preferably sentences that are meaningful. Write a number of students’ answers for each word on the board. Underline any mistakes and ask students to suggest how to correct the mistakes.

Then show the sample answers above on the screen. Ask students to read them and make sure students understand the underlined words. Step 3 2

This activity provides open writing practice using the target language.

First ask students to look at the pictures.Ask them to tell what they see in the pictures.Then have students complete the sentences using their own ideas.

When they finish ,ask each student to read his/her sentence to the class. Step 4 Just for Fun

This activity provides reading practice with the target language. Get two students to read the dialogue in the picture to the class. Step 5 Homework
