考前30小时:CET6W英语六级作文最后预测 Part I Writing (30minutes)

Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay on the topic of Is Affluence Important to Attaining Happiness? You should write at least 150 words following the outline given below.

1. 有人认为财富对于获得幸福非常重要; 2. 也有人认为财富跟幸福没有直接关系; 3. 作为大学生,我的看法……

Is Affluence Important to Attaining Happiness?

There‘s a controversial issue over whether the affluence matters happiness. Some people maintain a view that wealth is essential to one‘s happiness, while others argue that one can still be happy no matter whether he‘s well off or not. In this essay, I‘d like to advocate and offer my own view on it.

A number of factors can be contributed to my argument. One of the most significant factors is that nowadays majority of people regard friendship and family bonds as vital parts in their lives which can not be purchased by money. Besides, the higher salary and status one person attains, the more responsibility he has to take and less leisure time he has—however, pastime is partially related to the sense of happiness. In addition, another contributing factor is that spiritual satisfaction greatly outweighs material needs, and that is the genuine fortune we want to attain.

As the materialism and individualism flooding into the whole world, we the college

students should redefine the word ―happiness‖. Perhaps the sufficient money will fuel our appetite for material needs, while wealth can never be the only approach to happiness. 2012.12英语六级作文CET6预测范文(图表分析

Health Gains in Developing Countries

It can be seen from the chart that there have been dramatic changes in life expectancy and infant mortality in developing countries in the past decades. As the chart shows, people‘s life expectancy soared from 40 years old to 60 years old from 1960 to 1990. Meanwhile, infant mortality declined from 200 to 150 deaths per thousand births.

The change in the chart may be attributed to a number of factors, but the following are the most critical ones. First, developing countries‘ economy has been developing at a considerably high speed in the past decades. Therefore, people have more extra money to improve their health. Secondly, the advances in medical sciences and boom of medical industry provide citizens with more opportunities to cure their diseases. Last but not least, people have attached greater importance to their quality of life, thus they have spent more money and time to build up their bodies.

In a word, this chart is a perfect indicator of developing nations‘ fast expanding economy

and people‘s rising standard of life. Although a series of problems have arisen in the process, it is reasonable for us to believe that they can be solved in the near future with effective measures taken by both the government and the public.

(或If this trend continues, developing countries will soon approach the developed

countries in terms of health care. People will live longer and healthier lives. The result of this will be happier and more productive populations

2012.12英语六级CET6写作预测:出国旅游 话题:出国旅游 范文:

Traveling Abroad

In recent years, more and more citizens are traveling abroad. In 1995, the number of people who choose to travel abroad was about 10000. The number quadrupled to nearly 40000 in 2000. And in 2005, the number further climbed above 12000.

There are several reasons for the shocking rise. To begin with, the improvement of the life standards makes traveling abroad affordable to more and more people.

Moreover, the convenient transportation facilities make more destinations accessible. The last but not the least, after visiting most famous scenic spots throughout our country, exotic cultures seem to appeal more to many citizens. And gradually, they begin to treat traveling abroad as a new fashion.

This trend is beneficial for people on the whole. On one hand, it is a very interesting and romantic way to spend one's vacation. On the other hand, it enlarges people's vision by having a look at what is going on in a different country.

2012.12英语六级作文预测:网络公开课 话题:Open Courses

1. 现在网络公开课很盛行;

2. 网络公开课有不少好处,也存在一些问题; 3. 我对此的建议。

范文:Online open courses are gaining popularity in recent years. Follwoing globally famous universities like Yale and Harvard, some universities in China have also started to offer online open courses. Those courses have attracted people from all classes with different occupations.

The courses have brought many benefits to people. Many of the courses are provided by universities in foreign countries, and thus offer fresh ideas to us.

Through them, we can keep up with what people are thinking all over the world. But that can also be a problem. Some of the courses may not be very suitable for

Chinese students because of cultural differences and may cause chaos on Chinese campus.

In my opinion, online open course is useful and we should make use of it to broaden our horizons. But we should also remember to have our own thinking and not be brainwashed by improper ideas.

2012.12英语六级写作预测:名著被改编

话题:Adaptation Should Not Go Too Far From the Classics 1. 近年来,许多经典名著被胡乱改编 2. 出现这种现象的原因是…… 3. 为改变这一状况,我认为……

范文:Adaptation Should Not Go Too Far From the Classics

In recent years, many classics, especially the Four Great Classical Novels, have been apapted in improper ways. For examples, in a TV series adapted from Journey to the West, Monkey King ridiculously falls in love with an evil spirit. It has gone too far from the original version in which the upright Monkey shows no mercy to ant evil spirit.

Various reasons account for this phenomenon. Firstly, readers' or audiences' preference plays a critical role. In this market economy, where there is demand, there is supply. So many playwriters or directors cater for these people's need. Secondly, some producers want to attract people and make profit.

To curb this phenomenon, I think two measures should be taken. First, it's necessary to change the way people treat classics. An adapted version that goes too far from the original one is not merely disrespect to the author, but also misleads the readers or the audiences. Second, the concerned authority should check and ban TV series, videos or books that spoof classics

2012.6六级考前10天写作预测:大学生乱花钱

Directions:For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a composition entitled On the Restraint of Spending. You should write at least 150 words following the outline given below:

1. 现在许多大学生花钱大手大脚;

2. 有人认为社会整体生活水平提高了,大学生花钱多一些无可厚非; 3. 我的观点。

On the Restraint of Spending

Many students spend money in a quite extravagant way. They see things they like and they must have them, no matter how expensive: clothes, jewelry, shoes, facials, hair and nails for girls; clothes, watches, shoes and electronics for guys. It seems that many students reach university and go a little wild with all the freedom after the stress of high school.

There are two differing opinions about this phenomenon. Some feel that it is fine for students to have a little fun; after all, they can only enjoy their lives in college, since after graduation, there will be nothing but work, work, and more work. Others, however, frown on the extravagance; college is, they point out, the period when people form habits of independent living, since it is probably the first time that most children have been somewhat independent from parents.

In my opinion, we college students need to have some restraint in our spending

habits. Most of us are still financially dependent on parents, but we are preparing for independence very soon. If we get used to spending extravagantly now, the adjustment to adult life will be extremely difficult.

2011.12英语六级作文预测:考公务员热 The Craze of Entering the Civil Service

For over a decade, the craze of Chinese college graduates taking qualifying examinations to become civil servants has remained unabated. An important proportion of graduates view civil service as their top priority in job selection and they spare no efforts in preparing for those examinations, sometimes years before their graduation.

To some extent, this craze is a modern revival of the ancient notion that ―those who excel in academics end up in officialdom.‖ In the present-day China, however, there are complicated reasons underlying this phenomenon. The jobs in sectors other than civil service are insecure and unstable, and employees have to work under greater

stress faced with growing competitions in the workplace and the industry. Some

government departments are related to monopolized industries and civil servants can enjoy unusually high salaries and welfare benefits. Finally, government officials are usually regarded as occupying the highest rung of the social hierarchy and a student who succeeds in becoming government official is considered the pride of the family, adding prestige and glory to the entire clan.

For all the apparent attractions of the officialdom, the craze of entering the civil service is a distorted one. In the United States, truly ambitious students enter the industry instead of civil departments, where they apply their individual initiative

success. It has already been pointed out that, with so many best

minds of the nation fighting their way , the consequences are catastrophic. The civil servants system, with its inherent bureaucracy and rigid rules, would inevitably turn the otherwise energetic and aggressive young people into

docile followers of their superiors‘ instructions and dutiful but mediocre implementers of executive orders. This will considerably undermine the vitality of a whole

generation and the competitiveness of the entire country in the international arena. All forms of craze are accompanied by elements of irrationality and abnormality and, the sooner this craze vanishes, the better.

2011四六级考前作文预测:醉酒驾 Drunken Driving

Nobody could have failed to notice the fact that drunken driving has been a grave problem with which we are confronted. Generally speaking, there are several reasons accounting for /behind this phenomenon. Firstly, recent decades have witnessed the rapid development of people‘s living standards. As a result, cars gained ever-increasing popularity and have found their way into our everyday life. Secondly, people participate in more activities or banquets than ever before, where they will drink liquor/strong wine. Then, they may get drunk but continue to drive.

Drunken driving is bound to generate severe consequence if we keep turning a blind eye to it. First and foremost, this behavior will directly threaten the safety of drivers, passengers and pedestrians/goers, resulting in traffic accidents, injuries and even deaths. Besides, treating the injured and repairing broken cars mean a grievous

waste of money, time and resources. Last but not least, this irresponsible driving will make the road a nightmare, and thus, it will cause serious losses of faith in governments and the society.

In view of the seriousness of this problem, effective measures must be taken before things get worse. First, it is essential that the supervisory role of laws and

regulations should be strengthened to punish those performing drunken driving. Secondly, the public, especially drivers, should enhance their awareness of public safety. With stringent laws and alert public, it will only a matter of time for drunken driving to become things of past
