待了一小段时间，发现了一些物种，可是其实他的目的地不是这里。教授这里赞扬了一下这个人，说到底是个人才啊！时时刻刻把研究调查铭记在心，是好科学家的典范！（有题）
等这个科学家到了离Bali 很近的另一个岛去了后，发现物种非常不同，因此产生用这条line 来划分物种的想法。期间教授提到了达尔文，意思是说这个发现line 的科学家和达尔文有同样重要的贡献（有题，不过不确定是选同样重要？还是说他们俩在一个年代？）
3. 前美国总统Tomas Jefferson，主要说明他除了政治之外，对建筑也有研究，其中有提到他自己的library 并说明他自学建筑等知识（有题）；
接下来提到美国两个跟他有关系的建筑，一个是Virginia 首都，以及他的家（Monticello），这两个建筑都跟Rome 的风格有关，有两个关键字Arch 及Dome。总之是他认为风格代表，很重要！问，说为何Jefferson 要强调新的建筑风格？因为他认为旧的建筑代表美国依然是英国的殖民地。三个他喜爱的风格的建筑（是配合题3 种风格各选一） 1）他家：选有法式风格 2）Virginia 3）Capital
有一题问，为何他爱Rome and Greek construction style，因为他们代表民主。
4. 热岛效应。城市的downtown 温度高于周边，讲了冬天温度变高，对暖气的需求下降，但是夏天对空调的需求又上升了，还讲了气候变暖。 5. 小说的真实性。

1. 你hometown 的学校要给学生弄个after-class activities，你有什么建议？ 2. Do you agree people will read fewer books in the future?
3. 阅读：学校说要新建 art history classroom 啥的，会更大，更高科技化。
听力：对话里，mm 很兴奋，说以前classroom 太小了，而选的人太多，老选不上课，现在大了，好选课了。然后说art 啥的就要放大看details，以前老师展示的图片都太小，看不清details，现在有了高科技，咱不怕了，啥都能看见。
英文重现：build a new art history building. Female student thinks it is a good idea. Firstly, last semester,she could not get into the Chinese art history class, because the classroom was small and crowded andthe professor only could take 15 people in one class. Secondly, the new equipments can allow them towatch much more details of the painting and sculpture. 4. 阅读：research image。
听力：鸟类通过多次捕食昆虫,可以更容易分辨出昆虫,不被他的伪装蒙骗；research image 的~~predator 抓住insect 上的独特特征，用来提高补杀率。从刚开始只能捉住很少量的一种insect，逐渐通过search image 的培养，最后这种insect 成为其主要的food.

托福阅读机经：
1， 关于水资源在农业上的利用，以一个古国为例，说过渡灌溉造成盐碱化的内容较多。
以前耕种的灌溉方式，增加管道加宽了灌溉的面积，可是也因此容易造成水灾。随着人口增加田地不足，因此朝着高地开发，由于高地灌溉困难，最后好像是某种植物增加土壤表面含水量来保持土壤水分。 2，外星体撞击造成恐龙灭绝的理论，从地质方面讨论，65亿年前的陨石冲撞造成地球上75%生物死亡，地表99%死亡，有提到有人认为陨石冲撞杀不死那么多的生物，然后是说陨石冲撞造成尘土飞扬，遮住了阳光造成地球温度下降，最后剩下25%的生物如何生存。 3，珊瑚礁
4，讲石油化工的发展：石油的提炼，还有提到一些原油提炼产生的副产品和价值，油在不同温度下会出现哪几种形式。
5. 加拿大的农业和捕鱼业，还有捕捉那些长皮毛的动物。讲为什么原来只有捕鱼业发达，然后后来大家都去买fur。 词汇：

托福口语机经:
1，如果学校得到一笔大投资，你希望做什么，建体育馆？科学实验室？第一个记不清了，我说的科学实验室，旁边的哥们儿说的建体育馆。
2，问你希望年轻人出去做part time还是好好学习。
3，关于医学院安排假期intern-ship的通知，女的觉得it's great news，but她有很多的works要做，所以时间安排让他很头疼，男的给了建议。。。
4，sociology中的diversion技术，reading讲了什么是diversion。lecture，professor讲了个例子，电视节目上A,B两个哥们儿讨论关于政府投资建公园的事情，A反对花钱建公园，B，不提钱的事情只是说公园多好多好举了好多例子，然后把观众的注意力转移，因为钱是大家敏感的，这就是diversion技术。
5，一男一女讨论一个男的遇到的问题，女的给了建议，但是男的说的比女的多。。。。。这个听了个晕菜。
