ABSTRACT
The techniques of analyzing and treating the medical information have already entered an age of rapid development.The development and combination of the disciplines such as the Information Theory, Artificial Intelligence, Database, Computer Information Management, Computer Decision Support System Operations Research and Statistics greatly improve the ability of data treating. With the explosive growth of data, Data Warehouse, On-Line Analytical Processing can effectively convert mass data into usable information. Along with the accelerated improvement of information construction, most hospitals have completed the basic hospital information construction,and formed the comprehensive application model complying with the characteristics of the hospital, and made achievements in several applying fields, establishing the Hospital Information System focused on charging and managing. The Clinical Information SystemCIS, PACS, RIS, LIS and electricalmedicalrecord focused on patient-oriented management. Each system implements the integration of business also completes the integration of data at the same time, thusproviding tremendous scale of complete databases for hospital management decision makers.It has been the urgent requirement of each big hospital to make useof hospital information resource,to build the hospital decision support system through the Data Warehouse, On-Line Analytical Processing technology and to provide support with hospital operation management decisions using the multidimensional data analysis and display technology.
In this thesis, we take east hospital decision support system as an example, elaborate the design process of decision support system step by step, by using data warehouse technology to integrate Hospital Information System, Picture Archiving Communication System, human resources system and develop the data mart modules such as medical insurance analysis, medical operation analysis, human resources analysis, hospital dynamic real-time analysis according to the different businesses ,to build multidimensional data model of data mart. Using multi-dimensional data analysis to acquire, drill, cut, turn around the different dimensions of hospital business data, displayed them as reports and charts, and analyzing and predicting the operation of the hospital from various Granularity levels, thus helping the hospital managers to
