3.4 Regular test of steam turbine
3.4.1 Emergency protector manually tests. 3.4.1. 1Operating under rated rotate speed
3.4.1.2 Manually emergency proctor, quick closing valve, steam control valve should quickly close within 0.5 second.
3.4.1.3 After emergency proctor act, when rotate speed g down must careful the change of oil pressure, when oil pressure drop to 0.65MPa, auxiliary oil pump should start automatic, if automatic start fault, then should immediately start it manually . 3.4.2 Leak test of quick closing valve and steam control valve.
3.4.2.1 Check site disc and central instrument also 505 same speed.
3.4.2.2Generator stepout, steam turbine unload operating, main steam parameter, turbine should running smoothly
3.4.2.3Manually shut down the quick close valve and control valve should quickly close. 3.4.2.4In this case, rotate speed should drop to 1000r/min.
3.4.2.5Open quick close valve, recover unload operating, stop auxiliary oil pump.
3.4.2.6When rotate speed decrease, must notice the change of oil pressure when oil pressure drop to 0.65MPa, auxiliary oil pump should start automatic, if automatic start fault, then should immediately start it manually.
3.4.3Over speed test
3.4.3.1 under below sitstuation must make over speed te
a. New steam turbine installated and after overhaul b. After speed control system overhaul c. Start after one month outage d. After 2000 hours operating
3.4.3.2Under below situation, make emergency proctor over speed test is forbidden
a. Emergency protector static test failed.
b. Leak test of quick closing valve and steam control valve failed and jam. c. Under rated rotate speed emergency proctor testing disqualified d. Relevant technician not supervise on site.
e. Velocity measurement revolution meter inconformity with 505
3.4.3.3 Over speed test method
a. Under central command, must have someone monitor rotate speed meter and emergency protector.
b. Make sure when rotate speed is 3000r/min working well, check speed meter indicator correct, all instrument prepared.
c. Rising rotate speed 3270-3330r/min by 505, emergency protector act, quick closing valve , main control valve close, rotate speed should drop fast.

d. When rotate speed higher than 3330r/min, if emergency protector not acts, should pull the grip by hand, decrease rotate speed, start auxiliary oil pump, shutdown and let maintain people to handle.
e. Continuous test 3 times, first 2 times rotate speed differential should not more than 0.6%, the third speed and first 2 times speed average differential should not more than 1%, 3 times rotate speed no tendentiousness change. f. When emergency protector over speed act, can only reset it when rotate speed drop under 2900r/min g. During speed increasing, notice if unit sound and vibrate abnormal.
h. Finish test, check if tested device recover in regular, make a nice record. i. If over speed test disqualify, have to shutdown and adjust, before eliminate the fault, unit can‘t paralleling.
3.4.4 Lubricating oil low pressure protection test(this test proceed under idle state) 3.4.4.1 DCS start auxiliary oil pump, check all bearing return oil regularly, put the interlocking between lubricating pump and emergency pump into ―lock‖ position, adjust lubricating oil throttle, when lubricating oil pressure drop to 0.13Mpa, alarm. continuous drop to 0.08MPa, AC lubricating pump automatic start. Eliminate lock, stop lubricating pump. Again drop to 0.07MPa, DC lubricating pump automatic start.
3.4.4.2 Coarse vacuum protection test:(this test proceed under idle state)
a. Start auxiliary oil pump, Switch emergency protector b. Open quick closing valve, start vacuum protector.
c. start vacuum protector, solenoid valve act, quick closing valve, main control valve should automatic close
3.4.4.3 vacuum leak test:
a. Under situation below need test vacuum leak. 1) After overhaul or small repair
2) During operating vacuum system abnormal been found. 3) Grand total operating up to one month 4) After one month outage operate again
b. Process:
1) Make steam turbine stable operating under 80% of rated burden(4800KW) 2) Close water jet air ejector inlet valve, record immediately time and vacuum 3) Then record every other one minute total 5 minute 4) Finish test open condenser valve.
5) During test should keep the steam temperature, steam pressure, and load
stable.
6) If vacumm intensively drop, immediately stop test open water jet air ejector
inet valve
c. Vacuum leakproofness：

3.4.5 Feed water pump, circulating water pump, condensate pump, water jet pump linkage test. (this test proceed under idle state, and full fill water in pump.) 3.4.5.1 Start pump No.1, open outlet valve.
3.4.5.2 Put pump No.2 standby, press No.1 emergency button, No.1 should trip, and No.2automatic start, reset switch, open No.2 oulet valve,
3.4.5.3 Put pump No.1 standby, press Pump No.2emergency button, No.2 should trip, and Pump No.1automatic start, reset switch
3.4.5.4 Put pump No.2 standby. Little colse pump No.1 outlet valve,when main line pressure drop to certain number,Pump No.2 automatic start, press reset buttom.
3.4.5 Stop pump No1, put pump No.1 standby. Little colse pump No.2 outlet valve, Pump No.1 should automatic start, press reset buttom, stop pump.
Remark: go on test other feed water pump, circulating water pump linkage.
3.4.6 Regular test and switch to standby equipment during operating.

3.4.6.2 All type pump switchover
a. Switch over need respect the rules of regular test and allowed by chief on duty
b. Check operating pump working condition, check standby pump, should fit for standby status
c. Start standby pump, put in use after test, and back out from interlocking. d. Press the emergency button, reset operating button, turned into standby after checking, and test system. e. Put in interlocking, primary working pump turned into standby pump
