To highlight the disciplines features, the teach method is adopted in the combination of the basic conceptions, principles, methods and actual case studies of the horticulture commodity science in order to help the students to understand the basic principles of commodity science in each chapter, improve their abilities to analyze issues and solve problems in practice. 园艺产品采后生理与技术,过去称为园艺产品贮运学,是园艺专业的一门专业必修课。本课程与园艺作物育种学和园艺作物栽培学并重,是园艺本科专业课程中的三大支柱之一,也是园艺产业由第一产业向第二产业延伸的重要理论基础。
伴随着我国交通的飞速现代化和运输业的快速发展,园艺产品的供给已经有传统的一地周年供给根本性地转变为异地之间的余缺互不,园艺产品采后流通业已经成为一个很大的产业,并且还在以迅猛的势头发展。
本课程正是适应产业的发展和研究的不断深入,而由“园艺产品的贮运学”从名称到内容都逐渐充实为“园艺产品采后生理与技术”。其中,采后生理主要介绍园艺产品的呼吸生理、水分平衡生理、果实成熟生理、切花开花和衰老生理、球根花卉种球休眠生理、以及种苗生长和贮运生理等。其中,水分平衡和果实成熟与开花衰老生理,在世界范围内研究相对深入,是采后生理的重点和深入点。
采后技术包括产品采收技术、保鲜剂处理技术、预冷技术、贮藏技术、运输技术以及营销技术等。其中,保鲜剂处理技术、贮藏技术和运输技术是当前技术革新相对活跃的领域。
Postharvest Physiology and Technology of Horticultural Products, being called the storagation and Transportation of Horticultural Products in the past, is a professional compulsory course of the Horticulture major .This course is as important as Horticultal breeding and horticultal cultivation,and it is one of three majors of pillar within professional courses of horticultural undergraduate course, is also important theories foundation of horticultural industry from the first industry to the second industry. Accompany with the modernization and fast development of transportation, the supply of Horticultural Products has already been changed from traditional local anniversary supply to surplus and deficiency interconvert of different areas, Horticultural product circulating industry become a big industry, and developing rapidly.

Postharvest Physiology mainly introduce Respiratory physiology, Transpiration and wilting physiology of cut flowers, Ripening physiology of fruits, Senescence physiology of flower petals, Dormancy physiology of Bulbs, stocks in storage and transportation.Among them, Transpiration and wilting physiology of cut flowers, Ripening physiology of fruits, Senescence physiology of flower petals are important reaserch areas in postharvest Physiology.
The postharvest technique includes Harvest technology of horticultural products, Treatment techniques of cut flower preservatives, Precooling techniques of horticultural products, Storage techniques of horticultural products, Transportation techniques of horticultural products.Among them, Treatment techniques of cut flower preservatives, Storage techniques of horticultural products, Transportation techniques of horticultural products are current active reform realms.

果树栽培学(上)是果树专业的骨干课程。本课程以果树生长发育为核心,由果树生长发育规律、果树与环境条件的关系、果树栽培技术等三部分组成。果树生长发育规律部分的主要内容有:果树的生长周期及其休眠;果树根、茎、叶生长发育规律;果树的花芽分化及开花坐果;果实生长发育及品质形成等。果树与环境条件部分主要讨论气候条件(包括光照、温度、湿度等)、土壤环境(土壤pH值、土壤温度、土壤含水量、土层厚度等)以及其他生物对果树生长发育的影响。果树栽培技术部分重点介绍果树苗圃与种苗业、果园规划与建立、土肥水管理技术、果树整形修剪技术、花果管理技术、矮化密植栽培技术以及果园自然灾害防止技术等。
Fruit culture (superior) is the backbone course of the pomology department. With the development and growth of the fruit tree as central content, the course mainly consists of three parts, i. e. the rule of fruit tree’s development, the relationship of fruit tree’s and the environment as well as the technique of fruit culture. The main content of the rule of fruit tree’s development includes: cycle of fruit tree’s development and dormancy; the rule of fruit tree’s development of the root, stem and the leaf; the differentiation of flower bud, blossom and fruit setting; the development of fruit and the form of quality .etc. The central relationship between fruit tree’s and the environment is that, climate condition(including the illumination, temperature and humidity),the setting of the soil(consist of the pH value of soil, the temperature of soil ,the value of the water contained by the soil ,the thickness of the soil and so on). Furthermore, the rule of fruit tree’s development is also comprised of the impact from the other organism. The importance in the technique of fruit culture is introduction of the seedling nursery of the fruit tree and the seedling industry, the programming and establishing of the orchard, the management of soil, fertilizer, moisture in the orchard, pruning and cropping of the fruit tree, management of the blossom and fruit setting, dwarfing and close planting and prevention and cure the disaster in the orchard from the nature.

This course of Fruit Trees Culture is a core course for undergraduates of pomology majority. The contents cover the key knowledge in culture practices of different fruit trees, in details, there are introduction, important species and cultivars, biological characters, and culture skills. The teaching materials focus on the growth and development patterns of varied fruit trees and their culture key-points, in order undergraduates to understand distinct characteristics and relating cultivation and management practices. This course comprises three parts, which are (1) pomefruit group (including apple, pear, and hawthorn), (2) stonefruit group (including peach, plum, apricot, and cherry), (3) berryfruit group (including grape, strawberry, kiwifruit, and persimmon). Experiment part deals with the observation of biological properties in orchard.

“Fruit Breeding”is a theory and application course which wants to make the students hold the basic method and theory of fruit breeding,make the students know the advance and function of fruit breeding in the scientific research and fruit production.
Most fruit trees are perennial plant, have big tree-body and long growth period, the climate in different year and the combinations of shock and cion all infect the growth and development of fruit trees, in result the fruit breeding is quite different with the annual plants. Based on the students having the knowledge of plant genetics and fruit tree cultivate, and according to the characteristic of fruit tree growth and development, the course is emphased to make the students to comprehend the basic theory and method of fruit breeding approach, the general and special procedure and the way that how to speedup the fruit breeding periods. At meantime, through experiment or practice to make the students hold and apply the knowledge learned from the class.

It is a required course for horticultural students who major in fruit science. Based on biological, physiological, ecological character, as well as life cycle and growing progress of vegetable crops, the course describes cultivating season, technology and rotation of main species. Main contents of course are, Latin name, English name and scientific name of the crops; botanical and biological character which including their life cycle and requirement to the environment; corresponding cultivating season, technique, cultivating system; and environment regulating, reasonable crop rotation, in field operation of 23 species vegetables which was categorized into 8 groups as Chinese cabbage vegetables, cabbage vegetables, solanaceous vegetables, bulb vegetables, cucurbitaceous vegetables, legume vegetables, green leaf vegetables and perennial vegetables. Furthermore, general vegetable production and consumption in China will be shown, and construction of vegetable production base will be visited.
