Recently, blog/miniblog/weibo/social networks has entered,
penetrated and influenced all walks of people’s lives and meanwhile aroused much discussion/concern from both the general public and the government divisions. (some users voice their reviews on some hot social issues or their thoughts on life itself.) However, it is still disputable to reach an agreement on whether the blog will exert more positive effects over negative ones. As for me, the following argument will best support my
analysis on the reasons and problems existing in the popularity of blog./weibo./miniblog.
Factors involved in the popularity of blog are fairly kaleidoscopic and complicated. To be brief, fundamental
ones are listed here. Initially, in the economic dimension, people with more fortune have the easier access to the Internet and therefore are better informed and educated. Thus, they will be more desirous of voicing themselves in all kinds of affairs. Their behavior can facilitate the development of cyber world. Secondly, in the cultural sphere, people, who inhabit in a huge globe/village, have a greater need to be exposed to all kinds of cultures. Therefore, they need a medium to create a bridge linking them to the outer world. Blog can serve as the bridge or the medium to enhance a better understanding of different cultures.
(It’s a pity to witness that there are some vicious stuff in blog, such as too much plagiarism, rumor, tabloid, and even malice toward celebrity and government.) With the aim to making a transparent, effective and efficient/nutrient blog world, some constructive, prudent and valuable proposals can be put forward here. The government divisions at all levels should supervise the
justifiability, legality and security of the blog world. Meanwhile, the mass should be aware of the necessity to avoid following the trend. Only under such circumstances can we live in a colorful real world as well as a healthy virtual world.
