Then let two boys hug each other. →Teach : hug sb. / give sb. a hug 2. Ask: What’s your father’s father? --- Grandfather. What’s your father’s mother? --- Grandmother. 2. Draw a picture of a turkey on the blackboard. Ask the class “ What is it? Where can we cook the turkey? When do people often eat it?” → It is a turkey. We cook it in the kitchen. People often eat it on Thanksgiving Day. Step 4 Talking 1. Let a student read the information about Thanksgiving he/she found before the class. 2. Talking: When is Thanksgiving in Canada? Then let some students present their ideas, and I write them down beside the picture of the turkey. Step 5 Listening and Reading 1. Listen to the tape once and then answer the questions. T: I put up a small Bb, point to the small Bb and say “Today we will have Lesson 21.Now close your books .
