research.

Thesecondchapteristheliteraturereview.Itoffers

briefreviewoflisteningand

foreignlanguageteachingdevelopmentinthe20thcentury,givesthetheoreticalbaseofTBLT,explains

howTBLT

has

comeinto

beingbytracing

back

to

its

original

form---communicativeteachingapproach;definessomebasic

conceptsofTBLT.anddepictsthecharacteristics,principlesandadvantagesofTBLT.

The

thirdchaptergivesthelisteningteachingexperimentalstagesofTBLTinthe

listeningteachingofcollegeEnglish.
