B1 SIZE SPECIFICATION B1 尺寸规范

Fittings having three ends (?tees?) shall be specified first by the end of the ?run?, i.e. the two ends (the larger shall be specified first) in the same straight line, and then by the remaining end. (See Figure B1.)

Fittings having four ends (?crosses?) shall be specified first by the larger end on the ?run? and then by the second end on the ?run?, followed by the remaining ends, the larger of the two remaining ends being specified first. (See Figure B2.)

This Appendix sets out a method for determining the pressure resistance of fittings intended for use with cross-linked polyethylene pipe.

The joint assembly is subjected to a calculated test pressure equivalent to hoop stresses in the pipe of 4.8 MPa for a minimum period of 1 h and 4.2 MPa for a period of 3000 +100, ?0 h at 95 ±2°C. 让连接组件承受的测算压力相当于下列状况的管内环向压力：温度95 ±2°C，4.8 Mpa至少1小时或4.2 Mpa持续3000 +100, ?0小时。 C3 APPARATUS C3 设备
The following apparatus is required: 需要下列设备：
(a) Pressurizing system A hydraulic system capable of producing the required test pressure and capable of maintaining an accuracy of ±2%. A hydraulic accumulator or pump may be used for this purpose.

Provision shall be made for one or more connections on the hydraulic system at the one time for connecting to joint assemblies. Each connection shall be capable of being isolated.
